Twitter Talk With Shel Israel - Author Of Twitterville

Episode #171 of Six Pixels of Separation - The Twist Image Podcast is now live and ready for you to listen to.

Shel Israel recently released a book on Twitter titled, Twitterville. He was in Montreal to speak at a Third Tuesday event for PR, Marketing and Communications professionals today (yes, it's a Third Tuesday on a Sunday). His take on Social Media, storytelling and the changes it causes in the world makes this conversation well-worth taking a listen to. If you have never heard of Israel before, he also co-authored a book about Blogging called, Naked Conversations, with Robert Scoble. Enjoy the conversation...

  • This month, Third Tuesday is actually on the third Tuesday in Toronto. Shel is speaking here too. Some tickets are still available at

Your podcast is a timely introduction.

We had a great event at 3e mardi | Third Tuesday Montréal last night. I'd encourage anyone who is in Ottawa tonight, Toronto on Tuesday, Calgary on Wednesday and Vancouver on Thursday to check out their local Third Tuesday chapters and check out Shel Israel.

Montrealers will be happy to know that they can check out Mitch Joel on the third Tuesday of October. Details will be announced soon on our blog and through our Facebook/LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, so stay tuned.

You have a month to read his book and come armed with all your questions. 3e mardi | Third Tuesday Montreal is a fantastic opportunity to pick the brains of leaders in the social media space. Thanks to them for dropping by and to our sponsors and volunteers for making these events happen.

Great conversation from a couple of *old guys* (you said it...).

Love the passion for the channel from Shel and his honesty. Really refreshing when too many believe their own hype!

No sign of Julien, but there was the merest hint of a NSFW word from your lips mitch. I almost fell off my bike in shock ;-P

Thanks for bringing back the conversations, Mitch. Good to have the podcast rolling again.
