On January 26th of this year I had a Blog posting titled, Social Media Journey, that told a very cool story about how the rock band Journey had discovered their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda, through YouTube. It is a great example of Social Media in action. The band managed to contact Arnell directly through the channel - no need for couriers, managers, record labels, etc...
In the spirit of breaking out towards the weekend, I thought you might enjoy this video, which is the first live show of Journey featuring Arnell on vocals (and man, does he deliver the goods). The show took place last night (February 21) at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Viña del Mar, Chile. Isn't it interesting to also note how fast content like this now travels and is made available to the masses?

Man oh man! Did you hear the range of his at the end of Only the the Young? I'm still laughing at how incredibly good, strong, and powerful his voice is! I hope the new tracks get the air play they deserve. Rock on Neal! See you in ABQ
