It comes complete with a purple tie, Mismatched socks (the place where you can only buy socks in threes and they are all mismatched) - Purple Cow not included.

I used to think that a person knows they've "made it" when they are being made fun of on Saturday Night Live. Now, it's clear, that having your own action figure is the true sign of greatness.

I think Seth (like me) is probably just happy that he doesn't look like Lex Luthor :)
An action figure that was supposed to be me, but looked like Lex Luthor instead would scare me... Lex really did brand bald people in a not-so beautiful way :)
Now, I guess I have to concerned that my action figure will not look like Seth Godin's action figure (although it would be a marked improvement).

Lex Luthor is such a nice guy, I can't see the problem with all the bald action figures looking like him.
They did capture Seth looks, not only with the clothing, but also with the easy going face. Do you know what might have been the motivation for McPhee to do this figure (on of many in the "Best of marketers" serie?)

Looks cool. I'm kinda tempted to get one too.
I think another thing it goes to show is how strong a personal brand can be (and how much of a difference it can make). I don't think anyone in the past would have thought of having an action figure modeled after a marketer, but Seth has just been such a significant figure, that it's not that much of a surprise.

I love how a Seth Godin action figure causes a bunch of comments.
Derrick is right, this does speak to the personal brand of Seth. I think it's also important to note that this is a niche product :) Not many people outside the Marketing - Business book space are going to pick up on this... and I think that's the magic of it.
Also, if Simon is right, I need to pop into the local book store and grab my copy of Meatball Sundae.
