My First Video Chat But I Need Someone To Chat With - Can You Take Part?

In the midst of one of the craziest months we've had at Twist Image (and I mean that in the best possible way), Joseph Jaffe - author or Life After The 30-Second Spot and Join The Conversation and Blogger/Podcaster over at Jaffe Juice - called and asked if I would be willing to take part in a project for one of his clients, ooVoo. The idea is to moderate a handful of video chats using the free ooVoo service. As best as I can tell, ooVoo looks like instant messenger, but it's driven by video and you can have up to six people at once in a chat/conversation.

So, here's the deal, Jaffe's team has created a website called My ooVoo Day and wrangled up a very dynamic list of Bloggers and Podcasters to take part. They include:

How can you take part? Head over to ooVoo and download the free software, and then jump on over to the My ooVoo Day and sign-up to chat with me. Due to travel and work, I will only be taking part on February 12th and the 13th from 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST.

One thing is for certain, this is one of the first times I will be using my webcam for any kind of online video chat. I'd like to connect and have a quick conversation (it won't last longer than ten - fifteen minutes) on the topic of Marketing and Communications. Who knows, I may even record the audio and use it for an upcoming episode of Six Pixels of Separation - The Twist Image Podcast. It's an impressive list of people and you might even find my name taking part in some of the other chats.

Bottom line, if you don't sign up to chat with me, I'll be forced to change my topic to "Joseph Jaffe - The Good, The Bad And The Ugly... Discuss." It will be a pathetic attempt at video linkbait, but I am willing to resort to it to fill up the slots ;)
